Certificate II in Business BSB20101

Aim

Students will develop the necessary skills, knowledge and confidence to function effectively in an organisational environment which requires co-operative team work, adherence to organisational goals and values and the acceptance of limited work responsibilities within a clearly prescribed framework.

Participants

The Certificate II in Business is designed for people interested in enhancing their work-ready skills. A Higher School Certificate is not required, provided the applicant can demonstrate the academic capacity to undertake the Certificate. The Certificate is open to both full-time and part-time students. Because much of the assessment can be done in conjunction with work roles, applicants must be able to demonstrate that their studies are supported by their employer. A letter of support from the employer should accompany the enrolment form. (This may be waived in special circumstances).

Content

The Certificate II in Business is designed for volunteers interested in enhancing their work ready skills. Transition of Training Packages

The Business Services BSB01 Training Package has been revised and updated to the Business Services BSB07 Training Package, which was accredited on 17 February, 2008. There is a 12-month period where there is a changeover of courses and part of this process is in allowing maximum flexibility and fairness to all current students to give them the option to migrate to the new qualification. The revision of a Training Package is necessary due to changes in industry and the application of Employability Skills. The transition period, when enrolments can occur, ends on 17 February 2009. Students who are enrolled in the current Diploma of Business at that time have a Teach Out period in which to complete their studies. Existing students also have the option of transferring to the new BSB07 course and can do so immediately. From February 2009, only the new courses will be available.

Support

On enrollment each student is allocated a tutor who will support the student throughout the course. Contact with the tutor will usually be not less than monthly but will be in accordence with the tutoring schedule agreed between student and tutor.

Fees

Accredited Training Fees.

Enrolment

You can enrol in the course by completing our online enrolment form. A letter of support from your employer will also be required, and when your enrolment form is received you will informed when to forward it to the School.
